01 / Who This Is For

Who Physics tuition in Batley helps.

Parents looking for a Physics tutor in Batley usually come to us when they notice one of these:

  • They revise hard, but the marks aren’t movingThe effort is there. The grades aren’t following.
  • The maths in Physics is the real blockerRearranging equations, units, standard form and multi-step calculations throw them.
  • An exam is on the horizonGCSE Physics, Combined or Triple, or A Level Physics is coming up.
  • They know the definition but freeze on the problemThe recall is there, but applying it to an unfamiliar question falls apart.
  • Graphs and required practicals cost them marksThey understand the theory, but the analysis and practical questions don’t come together.
02 / What May Be Happening

Same low mark. Different cause.

Two children can get the same Physics score for completely different reasons.

  • One may understand the physics but be blocked by the maths behind the equations — rearranging, units, standard form.
  • Another may know every definition but freeze when a problem is unfamiliar, unsure which idea to reach for.
  • A third may lose marks on graphs and required practicals — reading, plotting and analysing data under exam pressure.

More revision guides won’t fix a problem we haven’t named yet.

03 / Free Assessment

Name the real gap before lessons begin.

The assessment is a short, guided Physics check — done in person at our Batley centre, or online.

By the end, we can tell you exactly where the breakdown is happening — whether it’s the maths behind equations, applying concepts to unfamiliar problems, graph analysis, or exam technique.

04 / How tuition follows

After the assessment, tuition follows the plan.

The assessment shows what to fix first. Your child’s Physics tutor then works from that plan — not a generic worksheet pack. Our DBS-checked Physics tutors follow the assessment plan, so your child gets targeted lessons — not random revision guides or exam paper marathons.

  • Secure the foundations — the maths behind the equations, core definitions, and the concepts later topics build on.
  • Build exam marks — applying ideas to unfamiliar problems, calculation and graph questions, required practicals, and the confidence to attempt them.
05 / Before You Decide

What you’ll know by the end.

  • A clear picture of where your child is in Physics.
  • The specific topics or skills that need work first.
  • A recommended tuition plan — if it would actually help.
  • No pressure to continue either way.
06 / Questions

The questions parents ask most.

Is the Physics assessment really free?

Yes. There is no payment to book the assessment and no obligation to take tuition afterwards. We use it to find your child's Physics gaps and explain the clearest next step before any paid lessons begin.

What if I do not know what my child needs?

That is exactly what the assessment is for. Many parents know their child is losing marks in Physics but cannot tell whether the cause is the maths behind equations and calculations, applying concepts to unfamiliar problems, graph and required-practical analysis, or exam technique. We find the gap before recommending anything.

Do you cover Physics within Combined Science as well as Triple?

Yes. We support Physics as part of GCSE Combined Science (AQA Trilogy and equivalent double awards) and as a separate GCSE in Triple Science. Tuition is matched to your child's specification and tier.

Do you tutor A Level Physics?

Yes. We tutor A Level Physics one-to-one, covering the full specification including mechanics, fields, particle and nuclear physics, required practicals and exam technique.

My child can recall the physics but freezes on calculations. Can you help?

Yes, and it is one of the most common reasons pupils lose Physics marks. Rearranging equations, handling units, standard form and multi-step problems all rely on secure maths. The assessment identifies whether the barrier is physics understanding or the underlying maths, and lessons target whichever is holding your child back.

How do lessons work?

Lessons start from the gaps found in the assessment, not a generic worksheet pack. A qualified teacher guides the plan and our DBS-checked Physics tutors deliver focused lessons. Pace is set by your child's understanding, not a timetable.

How much does Physics tuition cost?

GCSE Physics tuition starts from £14.50 per hour in a group of 4–5, £22.50 in a small group of 2–3, or £39.50 one-to-one. A Level Physics is taught one-to-one from £45 per hour — exact rate confirmed after the free assessment.
