01 / Who This Is For

Who online Science tuition is for

This may help if your child is:

  • Stuck on the basics Cells, atoms, forces or energy still feel uncertain.
  • Losing marks again and again The same mistakes keep appearing in tests and homework.
  • Struggling with harder questions Application questions, required practicals and 6-mark answers feel confusing.
  • Preparing for exams School tests, GCSE Combined or Triple Science, or A-Level Biology, Chemistry or Physics are coming up.
  • Losing confidence They try, but Science still feels difficult.
02 / What May Be Happening

Often, it is one specific gap.

Often the problem is not the whole of Science.

It is usually one weak foundation — a key concept, working scientifically, equations and units, or exam-question method — quietly affecting everything else.

That is why we assess first, look behind the mark, and teach from the right starting point.

03 / Free Assessment

Find the gap before lessons begin.

The free assessment is a calm Science check before paid tuition.

We see what is secure, what is weak, and what needs fixing first.

04 / How tuition follows

After the assessment, tuition follows the plan.

The assessment shows what to fix first.

Step one

Secure the foundations.

We strengthen the weak Science topics first, so harder work has something solid to build on.

Step two

Build exam marks.

We work on harder questions, technique and confidence, so your child stops losing the same marks and moves toward the grade they are capable of.

05 / Before You Decide

Clear answers before tuition starts.

  • You do not need to know what is wrong.
  • You only need to know your child is stuck.
  • You do not need to diagnose Science before asking for help.
06 / Questions

Online Science tuition FAQs.

Is the assessment really free?

Yes. The Science assessment is free, with no payment and no obligation. You only decide about paid tuition afterwards, once you have a clear picture of where your child is losing marks.

What if I do not know what my child is struggling with?

That is exactly what the assessment is for. You do not need to diagnose the problem. You only need to know your child is stuck — we find the specific gap and explain it clearly.

How does online tuition work?

Lessons are live online using a shared screen and digital whiteboard. The assessment and tuition direction are teacher-led and guided by Mr G Dabhad, QTS, and lessons are delivered by our DBS-checked Science tutors. You receive a link before each session.

What ages and stages do you cover?

We teach Science from Year 7 through Year 13 — secondary (KS3), GCSE (Years 10–11), and A-Level (Years 12–13). Biology, Chemistry and Physics across all three stages.

Is online Science tuition suitable for a child who lacks confidence?

Yes. Many pupils come to us having lost confidence. Because our online Science tutoring assesses first and teaches from the right starting point, lessons feel achievable rather than overwhelming, which rebuilds confidence over time.

How much does online Science tuition cost?

Year 7 to GCSE: £14.50 per hour in a small group (4–5 pupils), £22.50 in a trio (3 pupils), or £39.50 one-to-one. A-Level (Sixth Form): £18.50 per hour in a group of 4–5, or £45 one-to-one. We recommend the right format after the assessment. The assessment itself is always free.

Who leads the assessment and tuition plan?

The assessment and tuition plan are teacher-led and guided by Mr G Dabhad, QTS, founder of Improve Tuition since 2007. Lessons are delivered by DBS-checked tutors working to that plan.

Which exam boards and curricula do you cover for GCSE and A-Level Science?

We cover the main UK exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel, OCR and WJEC/Eduqas, across Biology, Chemistry and Physics. At GCSE this includes Combined Science (Trilogy and Synergy) and the separate sciences. We also teach IGCSE (Cambridge and Edexcel) and IB Diploma sciences for international and expat families. Tuition is matched to your child's board and tier so practice questions and required practicals reflect the papers they will actually sit.

Does online Science tuition actually work?

Yes. Lessons are live and interactive, using a shared screen and digital whiteboard so your child works through problems with the tutor in real time, just as they would in person. Because we assess first and teach from the right starting point, online tutoring stays focused on the specific gaps holding your child back.

Do you teach international and expat families outside the UK?

Yes. Because lessons are live online, we teach UK families nationwide and expat and international-school families worldwide — including Dubai, Qatar, Singapore and Hong Kong. We cover UK and international curricula (GCSE, IGCSE, A-Level and IB), and lessons can be arranged around your local time zone.

Do you offer Science tuition near me in Batley?

Yes. As well as teaching online across the UK, we offer in-person Science tuition at our Batley centre on George Street, serving families across Dewsbury, Birstall, Heckmondwike and the wider Kirklees area. The free assessment is the same whether you choose online or in-person lessons. If you're searching for a Science tutor near you or local Science tutoring in the Batley area, this is the same teacher-led service either way.
