01/Who this is for

Who online English tuition is for

This may help if your child is:

  • Stuck on the basicsReading comprehension, spelling or vocabulary still feel uncertain.
  • Losing marks again and againThe same mistakes keep appearing in tests and homework.
  • Struggling with analysis or essaysStructuring answers, quoting effectively and explaining methods feel confusing.
  • Preparing for examsSATs, school tests or GCSE English Language & Literature are coming up.
  • Losing confidenceThey try, but English still feels difficult and frustrating.
02/What may be happening

Often, it is one specific gap.

Often the problem is not the whole of English.

It is usually one weak foundation — reading, spelling, grammar, structuring an answer or exam method — quietly affecting everything else.

That is why we assess first, look behind the mark, and teach from the right starting point.

03/Free assessment

Find the gap before lessons begin.

The free assessment is a calm English check before paid tuition.

We see what is secure, what is weak, and what needs fixing first.

You walk away with a clear picture — not a sales pitch.

04/How tuition follows

After the assessment, lessons follow the plan.

The assessment shows what to fix first. Tuition builds from there.

Step one

Secure the foundations.

We strengthen the weak English skill first — whether that is vocabulary, sentence construction, inference or essay structure — so harder work has something solid to build on.

Step two

Build exam marks.

We work through harder questions, sharpen technique and rebuild confidence, so your child stops losing the same marks and moves toward the grade they are capable of.

05/Before you decide

Clear answers before tuition starts.

  • You do not need to know what is wrong.
  • You only need to know your child is stuck.
  • You do not need to diagnose English before asking for help.

06/Questions

Online English tuition FAQs.

Everything parents ask before booking a free assessment.

Is the assessment really free?

Yes. No payment, no obligation. You only decide about paid tuition afterwards, once you have a clear picture of where your child is losing marks.

What if I do not know what my child is struggling with?

That is exactly what the assessment is for. You only need to know your child is stuck — we find the specific gap and explain it clearly.

How does online English tuition work?

Lessons are live online using a shared screen and digital whiteboard. The assessment and tuition direction are guided by Mr G Dabhad, QTS, and delivered by DBS-checked tutors. You receive a link before each session.

What ages and stages do you cover?

Year 2 through Year 11 — primary (KS1–KS2), secondary (KS3) and GCSE (Years 10–11), including SATs preparation at Years 2 and 6.

Is online tuition suitable for a child who lacks confidence?

Yes. Many pupils come to us having lost confidence. Because we assess first and teach from the right starting point, lessons feel achievable rather than overwhelming, which rebuilds confidence over time.

How much does online English tuition cost?

£14.50 / hr small group (4–5 pupils), £22.50 / hr trio (3 pupils), £39.50 / hr one-to-one. The assessment is always free.

Which GCSE exam boards do you cover?

AQA, Edexcel, OCR and WJEC/Eduqas — both English Language and English Literature, matched to your child's board and set texts.

Does online English tuition actually work?

Yes. Lessons are live and interactive — shared screen, digital whiteboard, real-time feedback. Because we assess first and teach from the right starting point, sessions stay focused on the gaps that matter.

Do you also offer English tuition in Batley?

Yes. In-person English tuition is available at our Batley centre on George Street, serving families across Dewsbury, Birstall, Heckmondwike and the wider Kirklees area. The free assessment is the same whether you choose online or in-person.
