Where most marks are won and lost
The skills that separate a B from an A* — drawing and applying accurate diagrams, analysing data extracts rather than describing them, building developed chains of analysis, and writing evaluation that reaches a justified judgement. This is where most students plateau, and where focused tuition moves the grade most.

Book your free assessmentStudents and parents come to us for an online Economics tutor when they notice one of these:
Two students can get the same Economics grade for completely different reasons.
More past papers won’t fix a problem we haven’t named yet.
The assessment is a short, guided Economics check — done live online, or in person at our Batley centre.
By the end, we can tell you exactly what’s capping the grade — whether it’s a content gap, diagram technique, data-response analysis, or evaluation and judgement.
The assessment shows what to fix first. The Economics tutor then works from that plan in live online lessons — on real data-response extracts, essay questions and mark schemes over a shared screen, not a generic worksheet pack. Our DBS-checked tutors follow the assessment plan, so lessons target the specific skill capping the grade.
Yes. There is no payment to book the assessment and no obligation to take tuition afterwards. We do it live online to find your A Level Economics gaps and explain the clearest next step before any paid lessons begin.
Lessons are live and one-to-one over video, not recorded content. The tutor and student share a screen to work through real data-response extracts, essay questions and mark schemes together, drawing and annotating diagrams and answers as they go. All you need is a laptop or tablet and an internet connection.
This is the most common A Level Economics pattern we see. The grade ceiling is rarely content recall — it is the higher-mark skills: building developed chains of analysis, applying theory to the data and context, and writing evaluation that reaches a justified judgement rather than listing points. The assessment pinpoints which of these is costing the marks.
We tutor the main A Level Economics specifications — AQA, Edexcel (Economics A and B) and OCR. Tuition is matched to your child's exam board, including its specific essay and data-response structures and mark schemes.
Yes. We tutor A Level Economics students internationally as well as across the UK, including British curriculum students living overseas. Lessons are arranged around your time zone, and the assessment-first method works exactly the same online wherever you are.
Yes. Diagrams and data response are where many Economics students lose marks — often because diagrams are inaccurate or not applied to the question, or because data is described rather than analysed. Online lessons use a shared screen to draw, label and apply diagrams step by step, and the assessment identifies whether the barrier is the technique or the underlying theory.
Online A Level Economics is taught one-to-one from £45 per hour — exact rate confirmed after the free assessment.
Reviews
“Living abroad, finding the right tutor is not easy. He somehow made it possible.”
“His evaluation finally clicked — he stopped listing points and started reaching a judgement. The marks jumped.”
“The diagrams used to lose me marks. Now I can draw them and actually apply them to the data.”
